Action
It is considered to be one of the most widely played game genre. It includes such a subgenre as the First Person Shooters which give the feeling of being deeply involved in the situation and requires a quick reaction of the player. Role Playing Games (RPGs)
These games originating from Dungeons and Dragons are also very popular among gamers, especially such world-famous examples as «Grand Theft Auto» series and «World of Warcraft».

Strategy
Strategies tracing its origins to the original board games help to bring out thinking and planning skills of a player. There are Real-Time Strategies (RTS) which are based on the sequence of decision and actions of a player. The most popular are «Age of Empires», «Rise of Nations», and «Cossacks

Racing
Racing is a kind of vehicle simulation. The player is put into a supercar and must win different kinds of races («Need for Speed» series).
